• Press the filler leaves together in your hand, place them on a binder leaf and roll them together in a bunch

• Cut them to the appropriate length and place them in the bottom half of a wooden mould

​

• Place the upper half of the mould in place and put the entire mould into a screw press. The press operator will break down the press once, turn the bunch inside the mould and then re-box and press the bunch again for a total pressing time of about an hour

• Remove the bunch and wrap it with the wrapper leaf

​

• Keeping constant pressure on the bunch and the wrappers, roll the leaf around the bunch and apply vegetable glue to bond the wrapper leaf together at the head so the cigar won't unravel
