My Father Cigars

The story of My Father Cigars is rooted in passion, tradition, and craftsmanship. It began in 2003 when José “Pepin” García and his family opened a small factory in Little Havana, Miami, which soon grew into one of the cigar industry’s most respected names.

Born in Cuba in 1950, García started rolling cigars at just 11 years old, turning a lifelong passion into what he calls “the García dream.” Today, the family operates two factories: a boutique facility in Doral, Florida, staffed by rollers trained by Pepin, and the large García Family Industrial Park in Estelí, Nicaragua. Opened in 2009, the seven-acre complex employs over 300 rollers and manages the full process—from tobacco cultivation to global distribution.

Known for bold blends, rich complexity, and a signature spicy aroma, each cigar is handcrafted with precise construction and a traditional triple-cap finish. This commitment to quality has earned My Father Cigars major recognition, including Cigar Aficionado’s No.1 Cigar of the Year for Flor de Las Antillas Toro (2012), Le Bijou 1922 Torpedo Box Pressed (2015), and most recently My Father The Judge in 2024.

In 2025 My Father opened an operation in Honduras, launching the My Father Blue to critical acclaim, winning the Halfwheel Consensus Award in 2025 for highest rated cigar across 50 publications.
